The ANTHM playbook

How songs break now.

A case study from AMM: how an independent, self-funded Jersey Club release went from about 4,000 to more than 50,000 Spotify streams a day — by spreading on TikTok.

01The feed is the new radio

On TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, a song travels as a sound. Every video that uses it is a vote for it — and an ad for it, shown to that creator’s audience with a link back to the track. When enough people post the same sound, the platforms push it further, and the streams follow.

Here is what that looked like for one AMM release, start to finish.

02An independent release

Body Language (That’s Too Bad) #jerseyclub, by Chikoruss, dloo!, prodbysaint and proddbyck, came out on July 17, 2026 through AMM Distro. It was funded and marketed independently by AMM — no major-label campaign behind it.

For its first three weeks it did what most new releases do: around 4,000 to 9,000 Spotify streams a day. Then the TikTok videos started. A few hundred a day from August 7. On August 21 that jumped to 14,000 a day, and by August 29 more than 37,000 videos were being made with the song in a single day. Spotify followed the curve: about 16,000 streams a day in mid-August, 22,000 by the end of the month, and 33,000 by late September. In October the videos slowed to between 4,000 and 9,500 a day, and the streams kept climbing: more than 41,000 a day from October 8 to 17, with a high of 52,576 on October 17. Added up from release day, that is more than 2.1 million streams by October 19 — about three-quarters of them since September 1.

03Who made it move

The wave came from K-pop. 82MAJOR posted first, on August 16. ENHYPEN followed on August 23 — 4.5M plays on one video — then TREASURE, RIIZE, ILLIT (3.7M) and TWS within ten days. SEVENTEEN posted on September 16 (14.7M plays), NCT the next day, then SHINee and TXT. Groups were still picking it up in October: NOWZ posted on October 18. Korean and Japanese creators like MINAMI carried it between the group posts.

04One song, many sounds

None of this happened on a single sound. The song travelled as many separate TikTok sounds — 600K+ posts in all — each with its own crowd and its own trends. Pulse links every sound back to the track and tracks each one separately, so you can see which sound, which trend and which creators are actually moving the song.

05The playbook

What AMM did around this release is what ANTHM is built to do for every artist and label on it:

  • Watch the sounds. Pulse shows which of a song’s sounds are picking up, who is posting and which trends are carrying them.
  • Make something to copy. Studio turns the song into lyric videos and edits — lyrics detected and timed, footage matched to the song.
  • Put it in creators’ hands. Reach creators directly, run your own campaign from one desk, or have the ANTHM team run it for you.
  • Pay for what actually posted. Views are read from the platform and every video is checked against the sound — only approved posts earn.

The simplest format works on its own. A lyric page’s plain lyric video for All That Matters #JerseyClub — another AMM release — pulled 737K plays and 173K likes, no dance and no edit. Studio makes that format for you: the video beside it was generated end to end.

06Proven, and independent

Body Language was funded and marketed entirely by AMM, as an independent release. The same tools that moved it — Pulse, Studio and campaigns — are what every artist and label on ANTHM works with.

Sources: Spotify for Artists (daily streams, all versions of the release) and AMM Distro’s TikTok analytics (videos made and views per day), both through October 19, 2026, and Pulse scans of the song’s two main TikTok sounds, taken October 22, 2026. Weekly post counts are the top 200 videos on each sound.
